Sharpen every point of contact

When is a hang tag more than a hang tag? How about when it’s “a coaster for a shotglass?” So says Swobo, the Santa Cruz-based maker of cool bikes and cycling gear.

Their cardboard tag carries their logo on one side, but takes advantage of the back to extend the Swobo brand message.

“We’ve decided that hang tags, in all their dangling glory, are a waste of paper and natural resources. If you’re in need of extra information concerning Swobo products, or do indeed have a hang tag fetish, visit Swobo.com to get product information. Do what you can … when you can. This isn’t hippy banter. This is old school. Actions applied to real time issues. Thanks for listening.”

Now to me, that’s just brilliant. They’ve found yet another way to elevate the Swobo brand. What channels are we not maximizing with our clients and their brand image? What points of contact could be sharper? What opportunities are we missing?

Keep looking. I’m sure they’re there … right under our shot glasses.
